Asha Myers is grateful to reside on the ancestral homelands of the Ho-Chunk peoplesthe descendants of the Mound Buildersin the beautiful Driftless region of Wisconsin.
She is nourished by the spiraling hillsides, the underground rivers, and the big big weatherthe thundering of spring that wakes the Mushroom and the ice-whipped winds of winter that deepen the season of rest.
Alongside the slow and generous Kickapoo River and just east of the great Mississippi, Asha weaves a braided river of offerings for her community near, far, and in spirit.
She is a freelance writer and editor who works with independent authors, small businesses, nonprofits, and creatives. Her services included developmental editing, line editing, proofreading, ghostwriting, and copywriting. She contracts with publishing houses to produce fiction and nonfiction works from in-house concepts.
Asha is also a pianist, composer, and private piano teacher. Her teaching focuses on both building skill and technique to be able to play emotion-filled music from the heart, and also on piano practice as a portal for deeper connection to the Divine. Piano as ritual for kinship, communion, and discovery.
Asha is a practitioner-in-training with the Ancestral Medicine Network, where she is learning how to guide others to connect with their well and wise ancestors for the purpose of healing intergenerational trauma and remembering and reclaiming lost ancestral wisdom. She looks forward to the many ways in the future she will be able to offer accompaniment to the dead, dying, and those who love them through times of transition and beyond.
